Founder & CEO Lisa Hufford. Founded in 2006, Simplicity provides quality marketing resources and high impact people development programs to companies of all sizes. Simplicity has been recognized as #56 in the 2011 INC 500 fastest growing private companies and #6 in the 2011 Puget Sound Business Journal fastest growing private eastside companies.

Before founding Simplicity Consulting, Lisa had a 14 year career building successful businesses and managing strategic high value clients for Microsoft, RR Donnelley & Sons and Modus Media International. Then, she had kids and like many professional working women struggled to find the balance between work and family. She launched Simplicity Consulting to find flexibility and leverage her strong work ethic and in five short years grew the company to 100 consultants based on referrals. She has become the trusted advisor for connecting clients looking for well qualified marketing resources and marketing professionals who chose the consulting lifestyle.

She is a personal brand expert and shares her approach through speaking, coaching, consulting and writing to help people uncover their unique strengths and passions. She has spoken to several groups at Microsoft, Varolli Software, The Women’s Business Owner Group and The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. She teaches Consulting 101 and BE YOU Seminars, and is the author of “Be You: Five Steps to Living Your Personal Brand”.


Lisa earned her Business Degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and a Technology MBA Certificate from University of Washington. Lisa is a member of Entrepreneur’s Organization, Microsoft Alumni Foundation Founders Circle and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and is a strong supporter of the YWCA and The Boys & Girls Club.

Carrie Morris

Managing Director, Carrie Morris has been in corporate communications and consumer and entertainment PR for the past 16 years. Carrie joined Simplicity in September 2011 to help Fortune 1,000 companies grow their business through organizational improvements and exceptional hiring, while giving professional and highly motivated marketers the opportunity to have it all – work & lifestyle.

A big thinker, unparalleled team leader and detail-oriented account manager, Carrie has specialization in consumer and technology practices, media relations, global account management and social media/influencer programs. Since 2002, Carrie has been managing her career at Edelman, a global, independent PR firm, specializing in technology and consumer PR, as well as influencer engagement programs for several high profile Microsoft accounts, including Xbox, MSN and most recently, the Microsoft Store division. One of her most memorable and career defining achievements involved leading the U.S. consumer PR launch campaign for Kinect for Xbox 360.

Before joining Edelman, Carrie drove several product launches for Gateway, Hewlett Packard, and delivered integrated media campaigns with strategic partners such as Intel, HBO/Cinemax, Showtime Networks and Ford Motor Company. In early 2000, Carrie was responsible for establishing AtomFilms as the leader in short-form entertainment and a global entertainment brand. Her work and that of her team was recognized by PRSA, which awarded Atom with the Silver Anvil Award.

Carrie holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Boston University, and currently resides in Kirkland, WA, with her husband, twin boys, and one very adorable pup named Rocky.

Managing Director, Monica Graham has been in Technology Sales and Marketing for the past 15 years, working for Oracle, Nortel Networks and most recently as a full time employee at Microsoft from 2000 to 2007. During this time she was recognized as a consistent revenue achiever, implemented strategic sales techniques, strong team builder, and developing long-term Executive customer relationships.

After having her first daughter she decided to contract for Microsoft in the OEM, SMS&P, and US BMO groups. Monica has enjoyed maintaining her business relationships at Microsoft while balancing the life of a busy mother. In her free time Monica enjoys spending time with her two young girls, running, playing tennis, boating, and traveling to the sunshine.

Kim Martin | Controller | Simplicity Consulting Inc. | Kirkland, WAKim Martin

Controller, Kim Martin, a native to Seattle, graduated from Western Washington University in 1999 with her B.A. in accounting. After graduation, Kim worked several years at McGladrey & Pullen, a national tax, accounting and consulting firm, performing compilations, audits and reviews for various types of businesses, in addition to assisting clients with tax compliance. Kim later spent several years at Pacific Northwest Bank and Vulcan in their respective financial reporting departments.

Kim began her relationship with Simplicity Consulting in 2008. She provides tax, accounting and controller services to the company. She has enjoyed seeing all of the growth and exciting changes to the Company and looks forward to being a part of the Simplicity team for many years to come.

Kim resides in Seattle with her husband and two sons, and dog Millie. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, concerts, cooking and exercising.

Sara Danor | Business Administrator | Simplicity COnsulting Inc. | Kirkland, WASara Danor

Business Administrator, Sara Danor joined Simplicity in February 2010 as Payroll Specialist and Office Manager. Originally from Wisconsin, Sara moved to Washington in the winter of 2009 to be near her sibling’s family. After graduating with a degree in Public Administration from the University of WI-Green Bay, Sara spent several years working with public/non-profit organizations.

Now as the Business Administrator for Simplicity, Sara thrives in environments where she is connected to people and creating new processes that support the consulting community’s continued growth. Sara enjoys regular visits with her niece and nephew now that she is only a quick drive away, vacationing to Winthrop and continually finding new local adventures now that she’s a Washingtonian.

Darcy Johnson

Payroll Specialist, Darcy Johnson joined Simplicity in August 2011. Darcy graduated from Washington State University with a B.A. in Apparel, Merchandising, and Textiles and moved to the Seattle area and spent several years working in retail. She completed a Nordstrom internship and then moved on as the Service and Training Manager at Old Navy, and most recently was the Assistant Manager at Lucy Activewear. She LOVES working with people and is excited to grow her skills and knowledge at Simplicity! In her free time she enjoys going back home to Wenatchee, spending time with her family and friends, and playing tennis.
